It was announced during tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil special that the next TakeOver event will take place in February. More specifically, the show will take place on February 14, 2021. Hope you didn’t have plans for Valentine’s Day.
A tagline was not given for the show, however, given how WWE has seemed keen to bring back old names for shows, perhaps they can call it TakeOver: St. Valentines Day Massacre. However, that is merely speculation.
No matches have been announced as of this writing. However, it seems likely that the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Classics will take place on the show.
Mercedes Martinez is also being positioned to be the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship so it seems possible that a match between her and Io Shirai could happen as well.
We will bring you all of the updates on the match announcements for NXT TakeOver as soon as they become available.
