WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor exclusively reported last week that WWE was going to be calling-up Dominik Dijakovic to the main roster. We later learned that Dijakovic will be brought to Raw to fill the void left by AJ Styles’s move to SmackDown and Jinder Mahal’s injury.
Dangoor also reported that Chelsea Green will be getting called-up to the main roster pretty soon, and this report has been corroborated by Dave Meltzer who adds that Green’s arrival on the main roster has been planned for several months.
Writing in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that Green’s name has been thrown about for a main roster call-up since December 2019, when she appeared on Raw in a losing effort to Charlotte Flair:
“We’ve heard Green’s name dating back to her debut on Raw months ago. Her splitting up with Robert Stone for no reason would give credence to the idea they are preparing her and the rating for her tag match on NXT and other spots she’s been in can’t hurt her cause”.
As noted by Meltzer, plans for Green’s call-up likely caused her partnership with Robert Stone to be scrapped, which explains their rushed split on the 05/27 episode of NXT TV.
There is no word on what brand WWE is planning on moving Chelsea to, but make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest updates regarding this interesting story.
