Nia Jax returns to WWE Raw

Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax made her return from injury last night on Monday night Raw.

Jax returned to accompany Dallas’ hometown hero, Ember Moon. The ‘Irresistible Force’ scored the pin in their tag team match against Alicia Fox and Mickie James.

Jax had barely been heard from following the loss of a Raw Women’s Championship match with Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules. The bout was Jax’s contractual rematch to try to reclaim her title from Bliss.

Bliss won the Raw Women’s Championship by interrupting Jax’s match against Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank and cashed in the briefcase she had won earlier that night.

A reported knee injury kept Jax away from the ring, but in a post-appearance interview, she said:

“It’s always incredible to be back to be in front of the WWE universe, I mean, they welcomed me back with such a loud cheer and it warms my heart. It’s awesome.”
