Former WWE Star Reveals Scrapped Plans For WrestleMania 34 WWE

A former WWE star has revealed scrapped plans for WrestleMania 34.

At WrestleMania 34, Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Months prior to this event, Jax was involved in an on-screen relationship with nZo/Real1, then known as Enzo Amore.

Speaking with Ring The Belle, Jax revealed that nZo was originally planned to be the guest referee for the Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 34. Noting that Vince McMahon enjoyed the pairing of the two before nZo’s subsequent release in January 2018, she said:

“Man, the nZo stuff. Oh my gosh (Jax laughed). That was so much fun. It was supposed to go up until I won the title. He was supposed to be a part of that.”

“So he and I had that little love triangle but Lexi (Alexa Bliss) was supposed to get in on that and he was supposed to be our guest ref at Mania. I mean, supposed to, obviously, things changed but that’s where that was supposed to go.”

“Isn’t that crazy? And then obviously, things happened, he didn’t make it that far. Vince (McMahon) loved it. That was one of his favorite storylines. I don’t know if you remember, he put me on one of the (205 Live) live events.”

“He loved that storyline. Oh my gosh and then he was like, ‘How do you feel about kissing him?’ I’m like, ‘Huh? If we need to. If that’s where we’re going.’”

Nia Jax made her return to WWE in the 2023 Royal Rumble match as the #30 entrant in the bout.

As previously reported, Jax also addressed confusion surrounding her return to the company in the same interview.

You can find out what she said in regards to a potential AEW run here.
