Real Life Heat Between Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax?
Some news that Reddit could really sink their teeth into is the rumored real-life heat between Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and her Extreme Rules opponent Nia Jax.
Two weeks ago it was revealed that Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss had stopped following each other on social media, and had deleted all pictures of themselves together. Now this doesn’t exactly feel like it’s news – after all the two are supposed to be rivals – however a Twitter user noted that Jax was liking a lot of anti-Alexa comments on Instagram, including one that said Alexa Bliss was having sex with WWE officials in order to get a push.
.@NiaJaxWWE really needs to take a fucking seat! This.. THIS is NOT okay! pic.twitter.com/l4TNhNTiXi

Now this was a story we didn’t run here on WrestleTalk as it almost felt like a non-issue, perhaps just furthering the angle between them after Nia Jax lost the title at Money in the Bank to Alexa Bliss. However, Nia is supposed to be the babyface and Alexa is supposed to be the bullying heel, and this doesn’t seem like the sort of thing WWE would sign off on.
Clearly a lot of people asked Alexa if there was real-life heat between the two, and she took a page out of Randy Orton’s dot, dot, dot, dive post with “dot, dot, dot, no.”
… no .

The day previous she sent out a cryptic tweet with an image that reads, “Maturity is learning to walk away from people and situations that threaten your peace of mind, self-respect, values, morals or self worth.”
Bliss also recently got a white ink tattoo which reads, “I am enough”, which is believed to be a reference to her real-life struggles with anorexia.

Jax seemingly responded to this on Twitter after the whole un-following and Instagram business by saying:
For someone that doesn’t care what anyone thinks it’s weird they have to go out and get a tattoo that says they’re enough 🤔

WrestlingNews.com then reported that WWE officials were upset when they discovered that Jax had posted this, and drew a lot of backstage heat on her.
But is this all just rumor and innuendo? Is this just wrestling websites, social media and Reddit putting too much stock into two wrestlers trying to build heat for their Extreme Rules match – even though Nia is clearly the heel in her comments and proving Alexa Bliss’ “she’s a bully” point. Not so according to Dave Meltzer, who posted on the Figure Four Online forum: “Nia has real life heat. So this is not a work.”
When some people suggested that they might be doing something to build towards a storyline on Total Divas – similar to the John Cena/Nikki Bella storyline – Meltzer added, “This has nothing to do with Total Divas”.
Which appears to be the case, as it was reported that Bliss will not be part of the new season of Total Divas, and E! cameras were not following her around over WrestleMania weekend. Backstage sources have also claimed that this is indeed a shoot, pointing out that Jax’s actions are not in-line with her current character.
Smackdown Live Ratings
On a slightly different note, this week’s episode Smackdown Live dropped in the ratings, pulling in over just 2 million viewers – down from the 2.1 last week. But more importantly are your ratings. I thought the show was SmackTastic, and 68% of you agreed, with 24% thinking the show was Smack Bang in the Middle.
