During an appearance on Konnan’s Keepin it 100 podcast, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has opened up about his contract status with NWA, as well as whether or not Powerrr is going to be returning next year.
Several NWA stars have left the company this year, but Aldis revealed that there was a clause in his contract that would automatically trigger an extension, something that Billy Corgan has decided to use:
“I had an option on my contract and Billy picked it up. Like I said, I would not have opened up any discussions with anyone without talking to [Corgan]. … I just care about that paper. That’s it and Billy’s been very loyal to me and I to him and I truly believe in what we’re doing with the product and I wouldn’t walk away from it because we haven’t even scratched the surface of what we could accomplish.”
During the interview, Aldis also revealed that NWA Powerrr, a free-to-air show on YouTube, is going to be returning in 2021, which is going to be music to the ears of many of the promotion’s fans.
This comes after Zicky Dice, something that is believed to have heat with Nick Aldis, revealed that his contract with NWA is going to expire at the end of the year, and he won’t be extending.
