WWE President Nick Khan has noted that he doesn’t believe Vince McMahon will, or should, step down as chairman or CEO anytime soon.
Since the company’s early days, the McMahon family have been synonymous with WWE. According to Nick Khan, McMahon doesn’t have any plans to retire.
In an interview with Recode Media, Khan stated that the 75-year old is still healthy, saying:
“I don’t think Vince has any plans, nor in my opinion should he, of stepping aside. He’s 75, he’ll be 76 in a couple of weeks. He’s healthy, he’s strong, maybe he goes another 50 years and you’ll be asking me this in 49 years.”
McMahon notably welcomed fans back after the company returned to touring for SmackDown on July 16, asking the crowd “where the hell have you been?”.
WWE is currently preparing for SummerSlam this Saturday. In a segment building towards the upcoming Universal Championship match, John Cena and Roman Reigns had an intriguing war of words on the August 13 episode of SmackDown.
It has been reported that McMahon loved this “unscripted” segment.
