Nikki Bella On Early Bella Twins Act: ‘It Never Felt Right To Me’

Nikki Bella has admitted that her twin act with Brie Bella never felt right to her, revealing that she felt at home during her solo run.

Nikki Bella was a successful singles wrestler, holding the record for the longest individual reign with the Divas Championship at 301 days. Earlier in her career, she was part of the Bella Twins double-act alongside her real-life twin sister, Brie Bella.

Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, Nikki noted that she felt her singles run in WWE was her most natural. Stating that she wasn’t a fan of the twin act when she had to dress and act the same as Brie, Nikki said:

“I felt like when Brie and I first debuted, because (back then), there was no social media so we tricked the world that there was just one girl, so when we both appeared, that’s when I felt at home. Then when I became ‘Fearless Nikki’, that’s when I was really like ‘this is who I was meant to be, this is my superhero cape, this is who I am’.

“There were a lot of people that came into my life at that time that really helped my find that, and I just knew that was right. All the twin stuff before never felt right to me, I felt like ‘ugh this is corny’.”

Nikki last wrestled at a house show in 2019, teaming with Natalya. Nikki and Brie were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year during WrestleMania week.

Following Becky Lynch’s return and quick victory over Bianca Belair at SummerSlam, Nikki Bella discussed her issues with the title change.
