Nikkita Lyons Responds To Reports Her SmackDown Absence Was Due To Being Unvaccinated WWE

NXT star Nikkita Lyons was set to debut on SmackDown this past Friday (August 19), but both she and Zoey Stark were pulled from the show.

It was reported by Dave Meltzer that Stark had suffered a concussion during her match with Mandy Rose last Tuesday, and Lyons couldn’t get into Canada for the show because she was unvaccinated, which WWE apparently didn’t realise when they booked her for the show.

Taking to Twitter, Lyons has claimed her vaccination status “didn’t have anything to do” with the “medical complications” that led to her absence from SmackDown.

When a Twitter user asked: “If you got vaccinated, would there still be medical complications?”, Lyons replied: “Yes, it didn’t have anything to do with the vaccine. One day I may do a live on ig or something and share. I hope you have a blessed night”.

Stark and Lyons were replaced by fellow NXT talents Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, who actually picked up the win against Sonya Deville and Natalya, so Dolin and Jayne will be back on SmackDown this week in the tournament semi-final against Aliyah and Raquel Gonzalez.

The Raw semi-final will take place tonight, with Alexa Bliss and Asuka taking on Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
