The card for WrestleMania 39 has changed a lot over the past few weeks, most of which has to do with Brock Lesnar’s planned opponent.
Lesnar and Bobby Lashley had their latest encounter at Elimination Chamber, where fans were left underwhelmed by the finish to the bout.
Lesnar hit a low blow on Lashley, getting himself disqualified to escape Lashley’s Hurt Lock.
Prior the match, Bray Wyatt cut a promo on SmackDown, challenging the winner of the match to a match at WrestleMania, which ultimately ended up being Bobby Lashley due to the disqualification.
Speaking about the change on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the finished of the match changed at the last minute due to Lesnar nixing the match with Wyatt.
Meltzer said:
“Originally what was going to happen was Brock was beating Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber, and that was going to lead to Brock against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, and that’s why Bray Wyatt did that interview (calling out the winner).
“But after they did that, they had to change the finish.”

Lashley and Wyatt now seem set to collide at WrestleMania, with Brock Lesnar vs Omos also being made official for the show.
Lesnar reportedly personally approved the match with Omos for the event.
