Major NJPW Event Comes To The United States This Summer NJPW

A major NJPW event has been announced for this summer.

In March, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi produced a special event featuring junior heavyweights from NJPW, AJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL and multiple other promotions from Japan entitled “The All Star Junior Festival.”

During the event, Rocky Romero sent a video message asking if Hiromu would bring his brainchild to the United States with Takahashi accepting.

On today’s NJPW Collision In Philadelphia event, Hiromu and his Los Ingobernables de Japan stablemate Tetsuya Naito defeated Bullet Club’s KENTA and Chase Owens in tag team action.

Following the bout, Rocky Romero showed up to bring up his request again and then presented a video announcing that “The All Star Junior Festival” will be coming to the U.S. on Saturday, August 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

This will see junior heavyweights from not just NJPW, but other promotions around the world. This may include stars from All Elite Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling and beyond with the show being produced and booked by Takahashi and Romero.

As previously reported, a popular AEW star made their New Japan Pro Wrestling debut on today’s show.

We will keep you posted on the talent that will appear at this summer’s event when it becomes available.
