Following the Power Struggle event over the weekend, New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the ten teams that are going to be part of the 2020 World Tag League, which kicks off later this week.
The World Tag League is set to kick off on November 15 (this coming Sunday) and will run through until December 11. The following teams have been confirmed for the upcoming tournament:
- Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toa Henare
- Juice Robinson & David Finlay (2019 winners)
- Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi
- Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa
- Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI
- Shingo Tagaki & SANADA
- EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi
- Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens
- Great-O-Khan & TBA
At this time, Great-O-Khan’s tag partner for the tournament has not yet been confirmed. NJPW has said that he will be joined by a new member of The Empire stable who has not yet been revealed.
For those that aren’t aware, the winner of the World Tag League tournament earns a match for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at a later date. The titles are currently held by Zack Sabre Jr and Taichi.
