New Japan Pro Wrestling is set to start their G1 Climax tournament on September 19. However, they have now announced the date of their next major event, Power Struggle.
This will be the next major show and presumably the last major show before Wrestle Kingdom 15 on January 4. Power Struggle is currently scheduled to take place on November 7 at Edion Arena. Last year’s event featured a main event of Jay White defeating Hirooki Goto for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
The show annually occurs in early November, however, it is usually preceded by both the Destruction and King of Pro Wrestling tours. Given that the G1 Climax was moved to the fall this year and neither of those two tours were allowed to take place, this will be the biggest show between the end of the G1 Climax and Wrestle Kingdom 15.
Here is the full list of shows in the Power Struggle tour:
- Friday, October 23 at Korakuen Hall
- Saturday, October 24 in Saitama
- Sunday, October 25 in Chiba
- Wednesday, October 28 in Yamagata
- Thursday, October 29 in Fukushima
- Saturday, October 31 in Ibaraki
- Sunday, November 1 at Korakuen Hall
- Monday, November 2 at Korakuen Hall
- Tuesday, November 3 in Shizuoka
- Thursday, November 5 in Kochi
- Saturday, November 7 (Power Struggle) in Edion Arena
