
New Japan Pro Wrestling is on fire in 2018. They are coming hot off the heels of several stunning events, have a new IWGP Heavyweight Champion in Kenny Omega, own a large presence in both the United Kingdom and America, and in conjunction with Ring of Honor announced the G1 Supercard to take place one night before WrestleMania 35 on April 6, 2019.
For those unfamiliar with NJPW and their annual G1 Climax Tournament, it’s a round-robin contest comprising of two blocks, A and B. Competitors in both groups are awarded points for victories and the means of triumph, with the two heads of each group then battling each other to determine the overall winner.
