Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi has shared his thanks after his final match in NJPW.
With NJPW previously announcing that he would be leaving the company after The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11, Hiromu Takahashi teamed with Taiji Ishimori to take on United Empire’s Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young at this show.
It would be Takahashi and Ishimori who would see victory in the match on the February 11 show, with the Unbound Co faction celebrating their teammate’s final match in NJPW.
Takahashi has now shared his gratitude in a post on Twitter, writing:
“Super Positive Departure!
“To everyone who met Hiromu Takahashi in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, thank you! See you again!”
(Translated from Japanese)
Debuting in 2010 and a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Takahashi also held the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship with Yota Tsuji & Bushi and is a former IWGP Tag Team Champion with Tetsuya Naito.
Takahashi isn’t the only apparent departure from NJPW at The New Beginning in Osaka, with David Finlay also taking a moment to thank to fans following his loss to Callum Newman.
スーパーポジティブ退団!
