NJPW Hyper Battle Results: New Champions Crowned & Title Vacated NJPW

New champions were crowned, and a title was vacated, at Saturday’s (April 9) NJPW Hyper Battle event.

During the show, Taichi defeated Toru Yano in a no rope, no ringout match, to claim the King of Pro Wrestling provisional trophy.

The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship also changed hands, with Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb defeating Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI for the gold.

SANADA also announced that he’s relinquishing the IWGP US Championship, which you can read more about right here.

  • Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Jado def. Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, Gedo & Yujiro Takahashi
  • Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito def. Aaron Henare & Will Ospreay
  • Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi (c) def. El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori – IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships
  • Taichi def. Toru Yano (c) to win the trophy – King Of Pro-Wrestling Championship No Rope, Ringout Match
  • SANADA vacated the IWGP United States Championship
  • EVIL (c) def. Hiromu Takahashi – NEVER Openweight Championship
  • Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb def. Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI (c) to win the gold – IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
  • El Desperado (c) def. SHO – IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
  • Kauchika Okada (c) def. Zack Sabre Jr – IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
