IMPACT Wrestling x NJPW Multiverse United 2 Announced IMPACT Wrestling/NJPW

The date and location for the second Multiverse United crossover show between IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW have been revealed.

Both companies held the first Multiverse United event in March 2023 and the second isn’t that far away, taking place in August.

As confirmed on the IMPACT Wrestling Twitter account, Multiverse United 2: For Whom the Bell Tolls on Sunday, August 20 in Philadelphia.

This will take place on day after announced All Star Junior Festival takes place on August 19.

The first All Star Junior Festival was also a crossover show, with stars from NJPW, AJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL and multiple other promotions from Japan working together.

The official NJPW website would also provide additional details, confirming that the venue will be the legendary ECW Arena, Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena:

“It was a night of major announcements April 16, as following the reveal of All Star Junior Festival on August 19 during Collision in Philadelphia, IMPACT Wrestling made the special announcement of Multiverse United 2: For Whom the Bell Tolls.

“Following on from the recent sell out event in LA’s Globe Theater, NJPW and IMPACT’s next collaborative event will be held in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on Sunday August 20.

“Just one day after the 2300 will see junior heavyweights from across the US landscape take part in All Star Junior Festival 2023 USA, what will Multiverse United bring? Stay tuned for more information and ticket details!”

Multiverse United: Only the STRONG Survive took place on March 30 and saw the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Kenta defeat Minoru Suzuki, IMPACT World Tag Team Championships Chris Bey & Ace Austin retained against Motor City Machine Guns, Aussie Open, & TMDK, while the IMPACT X-Division Championship Scramble Match saw champion Trey Miguel defeat Frankie Kazarian, Rich Swann, Kevin Knight, Clark Connors, & Rocky Romero.

Elsewhere on the card, Yuya Uemura defeated Gabriel Kidd on the pre-show, Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Mike Bailey, KUSHIDA defeated Lio Rush, Deonna Purrazzo overcame Masha Slamovich, Gisele Shaw, & Miyu Yamashita for a Knockouts World Title shot, Jeff Cobb defeated Moose and the team of Fred Rosser, Alex Coughlin, PCO, & Callihan defeated Tom Lawlor, JR Kratos, Eddie Edwards, & Joe Hendry.
