NJPW has announced four matches for The New Beginning USA 2022, including a Jay White open challenge.
At the January 15, 2022 STRONG taping, Jay White will face a mystery opponent. The former NEVER Openweight Champion recently called out competition from ‘any promotion’ to prove that it is still the Switchblade Era. During the NJPW STRONG Nemesis tapings, White faced off against AEW’s Christopher Daniels.
El Phantasmo vs Matt Rehwoldt (fka Aiden English) has also been announced for The New Beginning USA. In addition, TJP will go one-on-one with Clark Conners during the event.
Finally, Brody King will do battle with Yuya Uemura, who is set to continue his Young Lion excursion. King reportedly signed with AEW not long after ROH announced its hiatus.

- Brody King vs. Yuya Uemura
