The semi-finals of this year’s New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) New Japan Cup are set after the four quarter-final matches took place earlier today.
Here are the full results from today:
- Hiromu Takahashi defeated Tomohiro Ishii in a New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match
- Kazuchika Okada defeated Taiji Ishimori in a New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match
- SANADA defeated Taichi in a New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match
- EVIL defeated YOSHI-HASHI in a New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match
- Bushi, Shingo Takagi, and Tetsuya Naito defeated Yuya Uemura, SHO, and Hirooki Goto
That means the semi-finals, which will be taking place tomorrow on July 3, will be:
- Hiromu Takahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada
- SANADA vs. EVIL
The winner of the New Japan Cup will advance to challenge Tetsuya Naito for both the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Intercontinental Championship at NJPW Dominion on July 12.
