A top New Japan Pro-Wrestling star has named the two Impact Wrestling stars who he believes would be amazing in NJPW.
NJPW’s Rocky Romero appeared on The Wrestling Perspective podcast where he broached the subject, saying:
“Josh [Alexander] and Mickie [James] would be two amazing people to get over [to New Japan].
“It’s fortunate enough that they both work for Impact, and Impact is a New Japan partner.”
Romero would also reveal that it is a conversation that he’s had with Impact Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore, though discussions are as far as it appears to have gone at this time.
He would go on to explain his reasoning, stating:
“Josh and Mickie are two names that always come up.
“Mickie, being the legend that she is, coming over to Japan and working with some younger STARDOM girls could be so sick.
“[Josh] is like the second coming of Kurt Angle, so I think he could really thrive there working with a [Hiroshi] Tanahashi.”
Mickie James recently expressed her desire to have a singles match with Mercedes Mone, who made her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
