In a new report, more details have been revealed about the upcoming appearance by Mercedes Varnado (fka Sasha Banks) in Japan!
According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, a hot rumor has been confirmed with additional behind the scenes details revealed!
Per the report, sources within New Japan Pro Wrestling have confirmed that not only will Mercedes Varnado appear at Wrestle Kingdom 17 but also when she’ll make it to Japan.
The former Sasha Banks is currently travelling to Japan and is expected to arrive tomorrow (December 21) well in advance of the Tokyo Dome appearance scheduled for January 4 2023 at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
As previously reported, Mercedes is expected to appear at Wrestle Kingdom and is expected to have some interface with the IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI.
Mercedes Varnado was known as Sasha Banks during her time with WWE however has not been spotted wrestling publicly since walking out of the company in May 2022.
While there were reports that discussions were held with WWE to facilitate at return, Varnado has filed trademarks for the the moniker ‘Mercedes Mone’ suggesting that she is moving on.
