AEW’s newest signee Jon Moxley debuted for the promotion at Double or Nothing on Saturday, and it was later revealed that he will be one of the company’s top guys after signing a full-time, multi-year contract.
However, the following day Moxley revealed he will be wrestling for NJPW against Juice Robinson for the IWGP United States Championship at their show on June 5. This sparked rumours of a AEW-NJPW working relationship.
However, Sports Illustrated‘s Justin Barrasso has confirmed that the two promotions are not working together, and Moxley’s agreement with NJPW is completely separate from his one with AEW.
New Japan Pro Wrestling GM Michael Craven: "New Japan and Jon Moxley came to terms on an agreement some time ago, completely independently of All Elite. Our understanding is that he is free to wrestle in Japan. We wish AEW well, but have no working relationship as of now." pic.twitter.com/8lGczFo4Wp

NJPW’s General Manager Michael Craven confirmed that Moxley is “free to wrestle in Japan”. He went on to tell Justin Barrasso that NJPW “wish AEW well, but have no working relationship as of now”.
