NJPW Star KENTA Calls Out CM Punk

Following reports that CM Punk will debut for AEW soon, NJPW star KENTA has taken to social media to call out the former WWE Champion.

CM Punk hasn’t wrestled an official bout since the 2014 Royal Rumble match. On Twitter, KENTA has stated that he wants to face Punk one-on-one.

Threatening to kick open the forbidden door again, KENTA tweeted:

“Give me CM Punk”

KENTA is best known for popularizing the G2S (GTS), which CM Punk used to win multiple world titles in WWE. While KENTA was with the company, he rarely used the move outside of dark matches.

After he was released by WWE in 2019, KENTA began to fire shots at Punk. Now Punk is reportedly returning to the ring, we could see the two competitors finally battle for G2S supremacy.

After KENTA’s AEW appearance in February, it was announced that AEW and NJPW had formed a partnership. It has been reported that AEW maintaining this NJPW connection was one of the main reasons Daniel Bryan chose to sign with AEW.
