Coming off the back of huge announcements for the G1 Special in San Francisco card, NJPW has finally confirmed the match cards for their first-ever events in the UK. The Strong Style Evolved United Kingdom cards will be co-promoted alongside Revolution Pro and will give fans the opportunity to see some of the biggest stars from Japan for the first time.
Night one takes place in Milton Keynes and will be headlined by Minoru Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr. going up against Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii in a match for the Revolution Pro Wrestling British Tag Titles.

This tag match serves as a precursor to the bigger singles matches that will take place in Manchester on Night Two. Sabre Jr. will be facing off against Okada and Ishii will be facing Suzuki. Both matches have a built-in history with Sabre Jr. and Okada recently main eventing Sakura Genesis and Ishii and Suzuki brawling after their tag match at this weekend’s Dominion event.
A rematch from Sakura Genesis as ZACK SABRE JR goes on one on one with KAZUCHIKA OKADA this time on Sabres home turf!

One wrestler that will undoubtedly be a highlight of the shows will be the UK’s own, Will Ospreay, who will be competing in matches against Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Taichi on Nights One and Two respectively. With Taiji Ishimori on both cards, it is surprising he won’t be one to compete against Ospreay, considering their recent rivalry in the Best of The Super Juniors tournament.

Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi & The Young Bucks – now collectively The Golden Elite – are the obvious big names that are omitted from these cards for various reasons. This is a shame for British fans who rarely get to see these amazing athletes compete on their shores. However, the cards have the star power with the likes of Okada, Sabre Jr., Ospreay & Jay White. Surely, that is surely enough to attract a large audience.
