The finals of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s World Tag League 2021 tournament is officially set.
On December 15, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI of CHAOS will do battle with EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi.
Goto and YOSHI-HASHI ultimately topped the block with 18 points. There was a three-way tie for the #2 spot, with the teams of EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito, and IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Zack Sabre Jr & Taichi (Dangerous Tekkers) all earning 16 points in block competition.
EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi had defeated the teams tied with them during block competition, so had the advantage to advance.
The winners of World Tag League will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title at Wrestle Kingdom 16.
The finals of the Best of the Super Juniors 28 tournament will also take place on December 15, with Hiromu Takahashi set to face YOH. Katsuyori Shibata will share an important announcement during the event.
