Last week’s episode of WWE Raw ended with a rather shocking result, seeing Kofi Kingston pin WWE Champion Bobby Lashley’s shoulders to the mat, via assistance from Drew McIntyre.
Tonight’s episode opened with McIntyre and Kingston both telling Lashley and MVP why they deserved a championship match for the WWE Championship. Adam Pearce came out and made a match between Kingston and McIntyre, with the winner facing Bobby Lashley for the title at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
The match ended when Lashley and MVP entered the ring and attacked both Kingston and McIntyre at the same time, resulting in a double disqualification.
Later in the show, Adam Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston will face each other next week, with the winner facing Bobby Lashley at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
