Number One Contendership Match And More Booked For WWE Raw

Last week on Raw, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Ricochet and Bobby Lashley crashed Miz’s MizTV segment with Samoa Joe, all stating their intention to go after Samoa Joe and the United States Championship.

Per WWE.com‘s preview for this Monday’s Raw, the five aforementioned men will be competing in a fatal-five way match to determine Samoa Joe’s opponent in a United States Championship match at WWE Stomping Grounds:

“One week after Braun Strowman, Ricochet, Cesaro and Bobby Lashley crashed “Miz TV” to state why they each deserved an opportunity to challenge Samoa Joe for his United States Championship, the four interrupting Superstars, along with The A-Lister himself, will compete in a Fatal 5-Way Match to determine who will challenge The Samoan Submission Machine for his star-spangled title at WWE Stomping Grounds.

Which of these five determined competitors will square off with Joe for the prestigious U.S. Title next Sunday? We’ll find out on Raw.”

It was also revealed that Smackdown Tag Team champion Daniel Bryan will be appearing on this week’s Raw. It appears as if he will be coming alone, without any real storyline reason for doing so.

Bryan was one of the first Smackdown stars to come to Raw per the Wildcard Rule, facing Kofi Kingston in a WrestleMania 35 rematch for the WWE Championship.

“SmackDown Tag Team Champion and “Planet’s Champion” Daniel Bryan has been chosen to be one of the four Wild Card Superstars to appear on Raw this coming Monday in Los Angeles.

The former SmackDown General Manager has long been loyal to the blue brand, and since this Wild Card appearance is not by choice, one can only wonder what Bryan will have to say to the “fickle” WWE Universe on Raw.”

And as if that wasn’t enough, with Stomping Grounds just around the corner, it has been revealed that Baron Corbin will be revealing his hand-picked Special Guest Referee for his Universal Championship match with Seth Rollins on Monday’s show.
