NWA
NWA has acquired two new wrestlers and give another a pay raise.
The National Wrestling Alliance has seen a number of stars pass through their doors before making their way to bigger promotions like WWE and AEW.
However, losing the likes of Nick Aldis Thunder Rosa, Eddie Kingston and Ricky Starks opens up spots for new wrestlers to get the opportunity on their platform.
On his podcast, Robert Anthony, also known as Cyon in NWA, discussed a recent conversation that he had with NWA director of talent relations Pat Kenney about how he was getting a pay raise.
Anthony also noted that Kenney said the company was offering Missa Kate and Joe Alonzo their own contracts. Alonzo and Kate both appeared as guests on the podcast where Robert Anthony revealed that he was in the room when the two were offered their deals.
Joe Alonzo detailed the different aspects of the deal that sold him on it, which included the ability to be a true independent contractor and work for various indies without needing to get any permission from the NWA.
Another aspect of the contract that was discussed is that they get re-evaluated every six months which includes their pay.
Anthony mentioned that the company’s method is much preferable in comparison to other promotions.
