In the main event of the go-home show for NXT 2.0 ahead of Heatwave, Cora Jade and Zoey Stark got a chance to shine.
Women ruled the main event with the NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose at ringside for commentary, Cora Jade took on Zoey Stark.
Ahead of the match, Cora Jade debuted new music that is decidedly less pop/punk and more like metal to match her new darker persona.
She also arrived to the ring with a heavily black taped but still clearly dangerous kendo stick as an accessory.
After a big back and forth match, Cora Jade saw her kendo stick and was crawling for it when it was taken out of her grasp by a returning Roxanne Perez who teased Jade, giving Stark the edge she needed.
After nailing Cora Jade with a big finisher, Zoey Stark picked up the pinfall victory.
After the match, Roxanne Perez chased Cora Jade away from ringside with the aforementioned kendo stick during which Mandy Rose attempted to sneak up on Stark.
Unfortunately for Rose she too was met by a big knee to the face to close out the episode as she held the NXT Women’s Championship high.
