NXT Announces Another Big Championship Match

The NXT Tag Team Championship picture has gotten even clearer after tonight’s show.

After Legado del Fantasma successfully defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher, William Regal named them the number one contenders to the tag titles. Regal also announced that MSK will be putting the titles on the line against them in two weeks.

This comes after Legado del Fantasma was able to pin MSK in a six-man tag team match three weeks ago. The two teams also clashed in last week’s main event between Santos Escobar and Kushida. MSK had wiped out their rivals before both teams were ejected from ringside.

This will be MSK’s first title defence since winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. The duo won the titles at NXT Takeover Stand & Deliver by defeating Legado del Fantasma and Grizzled Young Veterans in a Triple Threat match. This time they will have one less team to deal with.
