WWE has taken to its website to announce some new matches for this coming Wednesday’s August 5 episode of NXT on the USA Network.
The first of the newly announced matches will see NXT Champion Keith Lee face Cameron Grimes in singles action. Grimes interrupted a Lee promo on Karrion Kross this past Wednesday to set up this bout.
Another match that has been added as of today is Bronson Reed vs Shane Thorne. Reed was the first man to qualify for the North American Title ladder match at TakeOver: XXX by winning a three-way against Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong on July 22.
There were also a couple of matches announced for August 5 towards the end of this past Wednesday’s episode, the first of those being Dakota Kai vs Rhea Ripley to determine who will challenge Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver on August 22.
The other will see Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel of Imperium defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly of the Undisputed ERA.
