WWE Star Discusses Recreating Himself In NXT

WWE Star Discusses Recreating Himself In NXT WWE

Ahead of a big match at NXT Halloween Havoc, one star describes how going to NXT has helped him professionally and personally.

While Apollo Crews may have had a successful run on the main roster with the Intercontinental Championship during WWE’s ThunderDome era, not much had been seen from the star of late.

That was until he made a trip to NXT and recently engaging in a seemingly horror film influenced, feud with Grayson Waller.

While Crews is set to finally get his grasp on Waller, grasping a new lease on his life in professional wrestling seems to have already come via NXT.

In chatting with Rick Ucchino, Crews making the move to the developmental brand from the main roster.

Crews said:

“Everything just kind of stopped, you know? And this kind of happened to me before in my career, where something would happen and then it would kind of stop for one reason or another. And I just wanted to do more. I wanted to be a part of more. And I thought maybe if I could go back to NXT and kind of recreate myself and essentially almost start over, I figured that would be something good for me personally and professionally as well.”

Halloween Havoc is set to be an interesting milestone for Crews who has not been featured in a premium live event since WrestleMania 37 in April 2021.

Crews saying of the return to Peacock:

“The fact that it’s been that long, it’s pretty sad, I think. I feel like with my talent and commitment and the things that I can do, I don’t feel like I should go that long without being on any kind of premium live TV.”

Apollo Crews will take on Grayson Waller at WWE NXT’s Halloween Havoc scheduled for October 22, 2022 live on Peacock.
