NXT Call-Up Praised As ‘One Of The Best Wrestlers In All Of WWE’

A WWE NXT star who was called up to the main roster during the WWE Draft has been touted as one of the best wrestlers in WWE.

During this year’s WWE Draft, 13 selections were used to bring NXT stars to the main roster, with formerly gold names joining Raw, SmackDown, and a select few becoming free agents.

One of the stars called up to the main roster was former Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh, formerly known as Jordan Devlin, who will join the Raw roster come May 8.

Former WWE wrestler Oney Lorcan (Biff Busick), who currently works as a Performance Center coach, took to Twitter to praise McDonagh as one of the best wrestlers in the company.

Praising McDonagh’s work ethic, Lorcan wrote:

In my opinion, one of the best wrestlers in all of WWE. Also, was one of the first people to get in the ring and train the day after he got drafted.

Former NXT UK talent Sam Gradwell then discussed his own experiences with McDonagh, writing:

In NXTUK @jd_mcdonagh would finish his in-ring session, jump straight into a second one, stay behind to help anybody who wanted it, then hit a weights & cardio session with me at night.

He also agented matches on the same shows that he was putting on MOTY candidates. A true bull.

McDonagh wrestled his final NXT match on the May 2 episode, defeating Dragon Lee in singles action.
