A WWE main roster call-up from NXT, who debuted in the Royal Rumble yesterday, is backstage at tonight’s Raw taping.
As per PWInsider, Damian Priest is at the show tonight and will be part of the red brand going forward.
Priest had been written off NXT TV several weeks ago in a loss to Karrion Kross but had his official first main roster outing in the Rumble.
He eliminated Elias, The Miz, John Morrison and Kane before being eliminated by United States Champion Bobby Lashley.
He was originally going to be brought onto SmackDown as Kevin Owens’ best friend to combat Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, but that would have been stupid and smarter heads prevailed.
There’s no word on exactly what Priest is doing tonight or even if he’ll be on the show, but he is backstage.
