NXT Call-Up Reflects On 15 Year Journey Ahead Of Main Roster Debut

The 2023 WWE Draft is officially in the books, with the rosters for Raw and SmackDown now set for the coming year.

The Draft saw many names get the call up from NXT to the WWE main roster, with SmackDown picking up Pretty Deadly, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Grayson Waller and Cameron Grimes.

Grimes made his first appearance on SmackDown last week, where his first match on the SmackDown roster was set.

Grimes will take on Baron Corbin on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Ahead of his debut, Grimes took to Twitter to reflect on his 15 year journey to the WWE main roster.

He wrote:

Also set for tonight’s show are the first two matches from the SmackDown side of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, with Edge, Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles set to face off in one Triple Threat, while the other will feature Sheamus, Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley.

Fellow new SmackDown star Grayson Waller has teased a feud with a top WWE star ahead of his impending debut.

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins def. Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament

Mustafa Ali def. Otis when Chad Gable and Maxxine Dupri argued and distracted Otis

Finn Balor def. Cody Rhodes, The Miz in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament

Brock Lesnar, who had cost Cody Rhodes the aforementioned three-way, attacked Rhodes and demanded a rematch from Backlash at Night of Champions, which Rhodes later accepted

Rhea Ripley def. Dana Brooke and was then confronted by Natalya

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn def. Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser

Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis reunited The Way backstage, and Gargano hinted at someone else returning soon which could be Tommaso Ciampa

Zoey Stark def. Nikki Cross

Becky Lynch returned and confronted Trish Stratus

Dominik Mysterio def. Xavier Woods

Seth Rollins def. Finn Balor in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament
