NXT Champion Wants MAJOR Dream Match At WrestleMania

One of the biggest acquisitions WWE has made recently has been that of Japanese legend Meiko Satomura. Now, with Satomura wrestling for NXT UK, a dream match with Io Shirai is on the table.

NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai recently spoke with Sports Illustrated where she said she wants to wrestle Satomura at WrestleMania. Here is the quote:

“WrestleMania is the grandest stage we have in this business and I have always wanted to compete under that spotlight. A match with Meiko Satomura is another dream match for me. Fortunately, she has joined NXT UK, making it a real possibility now. I am so excited.”

Io Shirai is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez at NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day this Sunday.

Satomura made her debut for NXT UK after having signed with WWE, defeating Isla Dawn on this week’s episode of NXT UK. While the pandemic may delay matters, it will surely be only a matter of time before she faces many of the other top women of WWE.
