Triple H, COO of the WWE, took to Twitter this evening to announce that NXT will be returning to Chicago in June for the appropriately named NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

Tickets go on sale 12pm on Saturday, April 14th…BUT:

This is the second time that NXT will host a takeover event in Chicago, following on from last year’s successful event. That was the show which saw Tomasso Ciampa turn on his long time tag team partner and best friend Johnny Gargano after a grueling tag team ladder match with the Authors of Pain. It’s a feud that is still ongoing to this day.
NXT Takeover: Chicago also played host to one of the best bouts from last year – Pete Dunne vs Tyler Bate for the UK Championship – so this year’s card has a lot to live up to.
This event will be paired with WWE Money in the Bank, taking place the night before on June 16th. WWE are doing a promotion which allows you to book tickets to both shows as a special combo deal. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 14th with a special pre-sale taking place on Ticketmaster this Wednesday.
