NXT Commentator Has Reportedly Quit WWE

It has been reported this past week that the voice of NXT, Mauro Ranallo, had signed a new contract with WWE. However, it appears that one of his broadcast partners has not followed suit, and has reportedly quit the company.

Per Squared Circle Sirens‘ Casey Michael, Watson has resigned from his position as an NXT commentator and left the company as he wants to pursue a career in acting.

Michael is also reporting that Percy Watson’s last NXT appearance was before the most recent set of TV tapings. This would explain why a WWE Hall of Famer joined the commentary team at the last set tapings. This puts to bed rumours that the black and gold brand were reverting to a four-person booth, or that the Hall of Famer’s appearance was a one-off.
