Tonight on WWE Raw, NXT’s Deonna Purrazzo debuted on the Monday Night flagship. Deonna is not a regular competitor on NXT at this time, but she is technically on the roster.
She appeared in the Mae Young Classic and has also appeared previously on NXT and NXT UK. Tonight, she lost to Asuka on Raw.
Congratulations @DeonnaPurrazzo on your #RAW debut ☺️@WWEAsuka you are an absolute machine!!… I really wish you kept the rope swing though from last night at #TLC ?

Back in 2016, she did the job to Asuka on NXT. Guess that’s why they say history has a way of repeating itself.
I really like Purrazzo. She has worked in ROH and other promotions. She is a good in-ring worker and is touted as a submission specialist.
I’m not sure what her ceiling would be on NXT. However, she could really fill a gap on Raw.

We’ve seen in recent weeks how using talent in enhancement matches can help get superstars over and eliminates 50/50 booking. Purrazzo is a good enough technical wrestler to help get challengers like Asuka over as credible threats and gaining momentum.
Congratulations to Deonna for getting some time on the main roster and looking good in doing so. We’ll have more on Purrazzo’s future as it becomes available.
