Following a match full of technical wizardry and high-spots galore, the Cole superkick from a moonsault will live long in the memory, the ‘One and Only’ cracked the Undisputed Era leader with a sumptuous hurricanrana to the arena floor followed by a perfect 630 splash for the victory.
It was the correct result. Dropping the championship allows Adam Cole to move to the main event and challenge for the NXT Championship where he belongs. He’s been heavily protected by Triple H and Shawn Michaels since his debut last year and it’s fair to say that he’s been heavily groomed to carry the yellow brand on his shoulders.
