NXT Star Ethan Page Called Up To WWE Raw, Faces Je’Von Evans

Former NXT Champion Ethan Page has officially been called up to the main roster on tonight’s WWE Raw after WrestleMania 42.

Post-Mania season is usually the time for NXT appearances, and that trend continued tonight.

In a backstage segment with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta and Je’Von Evans were discussing how they’re going to go at it again in the future for the IC Title.

After Penta left, Ethan Page showed up and Adam Pearce introduced him as the newest member of the Raw roster, confirming this is a full-time call-up.

Page faced Evans in a match tonight after interference from Rusev, who continued his attack on Evans after the match as Page left.

Penta attempted to make the save for Evans but Page and Rusev took him out as well.

The Next Generation Of NXT After Main Roster Call-Ups

There are of course multiple NXT stars who could end up on the WWE main roster in the wake of WrestleMania, with the likes of Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Joe Hendry chief among those.

However, if there are a few full-time call-ups, that will leave a gap in NXT, similar to what was left when the likes of Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans were called up.

So who could fill those top spots on the roster this time around?

Keanu Carver is evidently seen as a future star, and with his match against Joe Hendry on NXT TV this week, that could be an example of Hendry putting over a future top guy on his way out of the brand.

Some other names that seem like top prospects but are perhaps behind by another year or so include Myles Borne, Dion Lennox, and maybe even Saquon Shugars given the dissension between Lennox and Shugars within DarkState recently.

Jackson Drake is another name who looks to be destined for big things and could fill any gap at the top of NXT some time in the not too distant future.
