According to a report from Fightful Select (subscription required), the NXT fan experience has undergone some significant changes for tonight’s episode of the show. In the past, WWE has allowed a minimal number of fans in attendance. The majority of the fans have connections to WWE.
According to the report, fans had to show state-issued IDs before entering the building tonight. Additionally, they were asked to get to the arena at least an hour before the show.
The report said the layout was much different than in the past. Sean Ross Sapp did not specifically indicate why there were changes to the protocols for tonight.

You hate to speculate any reasons why this might be the case. However, given the recent breakout of COVID amongst all the different wrestling promotions, it would seem likely WWE wants to make sure people aren’t getting in the building who aren’t supposed to be there.
Also given all the turmoil in the United States over the past week, it probably doesn’t hurt to be a bit extra careful. As always, WrestleTalk will have live coverage of tonight’s show.
