Tonight’s December 10 NXT Deadline event plays host to the first ever NXT Iron Survivor Challenge matches, kicking off with the women’s.
The Iron Survivor Challenge match has a unique set of rules with two competitors starting in the ring, and three more entering at five-minute intervals in a 25-minute match.
Each fall scores a point and whoever has the most points at the end wins – but there’s also a 90-second penalty box for whoever loses a fall.
The order of entrances in the women’s match was as follows:
- 1 – Roxanne Perez
- 2 – Zoey Stark
- 3 – Kiana James
- 4 – Cora Jade
- 5 – Indi Hartwell
And the order of falls was:
- Zoey Stark pinned Roxanne Perez
- Cora Jade pinned Kiana James
- Indi Hartwell pinned Roxanne Perez
- Roxanne Perez pinned Zoey Stark
- Roxanne Perez pinned Cora Jade
That makes Roxanne Perez the only woman to score two falls and therefore the winner, despite having started the match and spending three minutes total in the penalty box.
The win earns Perez a future NXT Women’s Title shot against Mandy Rose.
