NXT star Kam Hendrix has opened up about his concerns that WWE could decide to release him from his contract.

Hendrix has emerged on NXT TV over the past couple of weeks as one of the brand’s many new faces, attacking both North American Champion Myles Borne and NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.

Prior to his NXT debut, he also appeared on the first two seasons of WWE LFG under his real name Anthony Luke, and is on the current third season as well, though the format has changed from being a game show with a winner to basically just being WWE Unreal for developmental.

In a video posted by WWE today previewing this coming Sunday’s LFG episode, Hendrix opened up about his concerns that he could be cut from his contract if it was decided he hadn’t been progressing enough.

He said:

“Every day, even before filming LFG, I felt like the clock was ticking on me. I know that this place has a time limit and nobody can be here forever.

“I know that this whole thing, everything I ever worked for, can be taken from me.

“If you’re not evolving as a Superstar, evolving as a character, anyone can be let go. Anyone can be cut for any reason they want.

“This is subjective at the end of the day. Nobody deserves anything, you’ve gotta earn everything.”

Hendrix, the husband of WWE Raw star Maxxine Dupri, seems to have survived the latest round of releases given his emergence on NXT TV.

There was a similar story with Drake Morreaux on the last LFG episode, and while he hasn’t been promoted to NXT, he has instead been sent to AAA.
