It is being reported by various websites including Wrestlezone.com, that NXT have signed their second female referee in Aubrey Edwards. The latest signee to the development brand follows in the footsteps of the delightful Jessika Carr who first came to our attention during the inaugural Mae Young Classic.
Edwards, who worked this week’s NXT tapings where Tomasso Ciampa best Aleister Black for the NXT Championship, is the next in a growing trend for WWE who are making a special effort to ensure both sexes are represented in every corner of their product.
Now all that’s left is to push these names on WWE’s main roster. In the midst of a seemingly never-ending Women’s Revolution, it’s surely only right female officials get a fair rub of the spotlight alongside their male counterparts. WrestleTalk hope to see a few more at the second annual Mae Young Classic.
