Cinematic matches have become all the rage in WWE as of late. Since WrestleMania, WWE has done a cinematic match on every major event. Now, NXT star Karrion Kross believes they will have one before the end of the year.
Kross recently spoke with Digital Spy where he talked about the influence Lucha Underground has had on NXT. A big part of this influence has been in WWE’s recent cinematic approach. Here is the quote:
“One of the key people on that show was former WWE and it’s really interesting. I think that the things that we did manifested into multiple different directions. I was very happy, very proud to be a part of that. I learned a lot from being in that realm.”
Kross then revealed he believes he will have a cinematic match in the near future.
“I have a couple in mind and I have a feeling that we may see one before the end of the year.”
Kross appears to be the next challenger for the NXT Championship. He seemed to challenge Adam Cole before Cole lost the title to Keith Lee last week on NXT. While nothing has been confirmed, a cinematic match between Lee and Kross could be on the horizon.
