A former NXT Champion has officially been called up to WWE SmackDown as confirmed during tonight’s May 16 episode of the show.
Previously, post-WrestleMania season had seen Fraxiom called up to SmackDown, while Roxanne Perez and Giulia had been teaming up on Raw every week while still officially on the NXT roster.
However, for Giulia, that has changed.
As announced by General Manager Nick Aldis tonight, Giulia is officially the newest member of the SmackDown roster.
After they lost a tag match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley on Raw this past Monday, Giulia told Perez “there is no WE”, signalling the break-up of their short-lived team.
As such, there was no sign of Perez on SmackDown tonight.
Giulia made her WWE NXT debut in September 2024, and is a former NXT Women’s Champion, having held the title for 63 days – winning it from Perez in January before losing it to Stephanie Vaquer in March.
Aldis made the announcement in front of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, as Bliss seems to be striking up a friendship with Flair.
Earlier in the show, Bliss qualified for this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match by winning a three-way against Michin and Chelsea Green.
