NXT Star Getting Praise Backstage

In a time when NXT may be in need of some new top stars, it sounds like those backstage are impressed by one of them. That someone is Dexter Lumis.

Fightful Select (subscription required) is currently reporting that Lumis has been praised by colleagues in NXT. The report states that he is working hard to improve and also worked hard just to get on TV in the first place.

Those backstage also reportedly believe that Lumis has delivered on the opportunity he has been given. One talent in particular said people don’t realize how multi-talented he is. The same talent also mentioned that it would have been easy for Lumis to give up on the character after years off television.

This report was compiled through information given by wrestlers before and after Lumis started being pushed on television.

Lumis was recently defeated by Timothy Thatcher on the November 11 episode of NXT. Prior to that, he had a Haunted House of Terrors match against Cameron Grimes which he won. As of this writing, Dexter Lumis has yet to appear on an NXT Takeover event.
