On last night’s episode of NXT, Matt Riddle took on Timothy Thatcher in a Fight Pit match, in what was likely Riddle’s final match on NXT, as it is believed he will be debuting on SmackDown within the next week.
For those wondering, a Fight Pit match is essentially a steel cage match with a small ledge on top of the cage which the wrestlers can stand on. The match can only be finished through knock-out or submission.
Despite winning the match, Thatcher ended the match with a mouth full of blood, after he appeared to lose some teeth. Fans are still disputing whether this was a planned spot or whether Thatcher really did lose some of his pearly whites.
