NXT star Odyssey Jones is set to miss several months of action after undergoing knee surgery.
During last night’s (January 25) episode of NXT 2.0, commentator Vic Joseph revealed Jones had undergone successful surgery on a ruptured patellar tendon, which for those of you who aren’t aware, is the tendon which keeps your kneecap attached to the rest of your leg. It’s pretty useful.
Joseph added Jones will likely be making a return some time during the second half of 2022.
The injury took place during a match with Saurav which was taped for 205 Live. Possibly as a result of the injury, the match never made the final cut and was not aired.
During last week’s episode of NXT 2.0, Jones was attacked with a crutch by Harland as a way of writing him off TV to have surgery.
Jones has made a very short statement on his Twitter regarding the surgery.
Sorry world I’ll be better!
